Shailja Sharma is a professional artist and marketing and communications specialist. She was born and raised in Kenya. After twelve years abroad in the United States and the United Kingdom, she returned to live in her native country. Shailja is an artist with a deep and passionate appreciation for the beauty found in nature and the human spirit.

Rekindling her childhood passion for visual and written narrative has brought her tremendous joy. The beauty and vivid colour of the African landscape, wildlife and the ocean inspires her choice of palette and the subject matter of her art work.
